Depending on your individualized needs and goals, there are a variety of packages to best support you. 

Traditional appointments with doctors, therapists, or coaches tend to be talk-based. Jacqueline is happy to work with you in a solely talk-based fashion if you’d like, although she is well-versed in utilizing integrative approaches to facilitate improvements in health and wellness. We will most likely utilize both talk-based and non-verbal approaches to achieve your wellness goals.

I’ve provided unique sessions or series of sessions to a variety of groups. These include: weekly art therapy to groups of students identified as needing extra support in the local public school system; a several-hour art therapy workshop at a retreat for female veterans; several series of Zentangle classes for a Veterans Affairs hospital; Zentangle classes to support nurses against burnout at a local hospital; art therapy and iRest yoga nidra sessions at several retreats for caregivers of wounded warriors.

 

What is Integrative Nutrition & Health Coaching?

This holistic coaching operates from an understanding of a) bio-individuality, which is the idea that we are all different and all have unique dietary, lifestyle, emotional, and physical needs, and b) a focus on primary foods, which is the idea that there are areas of your life, beyond food, that impact short- and long-term health and these are also addressed. Wellness goals and the holistic wellness plans and journeys to achieve them will be unique. While the average visit with a doctor is 8 minutes, clients meet with health coaches on average twice a month for 50-minute sessions, allowing more time and focused attention on helping you implement the changes that may be advised in medical visits.

What is Art Therapy?

Art Therapy entails the client’s use of art making, the creative process, and the resulting artwork, to improve functioning and wellbeing. Art Therapy may be used to promote insight into what is truly underlying one’s manifesting symptoms or complaints, to increase self-awareness, to increase understanding of and communication with self and others, to understand subconscious blocks or behaviors, to motivate and promote desired change. Art Therapy may also be integrated as experience and resource for practicing mindfulness, and as resource for promoting relaxation and state of flow.

What is Yoga?

Yoga is a mind-body practice with a 5,000 year history in Ancient Indian philosophy. Various styles of yoga combine physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation techniques to promote improved control of the mind and body and enhance wellbeing. Benefits of practicing yoga may include increased energy and improved strength and flexibility on the physical level, improved focus, concentration, generation of neural networks, and nuanced attention on the cognitive level, heightened self-awareness and improved sense of self and ability to feel calm, relaxed, and authentic on an emotional level, and to deepen and expand oneself spiritually on a spiritual level. The practice of yoga promotes increased mind-body connection and intentionality that translates to everyday life as well. Yoga delivered through guided physical postures or through guided meditation can be used to support the gamut of health and wellness goals and may be experienced in sessions and taught so as to be incorporated independently for use in everyday life.

What is iRest Yoga Nidra?

iRest® is a yoga nidra protocol for a mindfulness meditation, designed to help people resolve pain and suffering and experience deep healing and peace, practiced in still, relaxed poses. Benefits include: decreased stress, anxiety, fear, depression, insomnia; improved sleep, interpersonal relations, energy levels, sense of control, sense of peace and well-being; and more confidence and joy in life and greater ability to manage chronic and acute pain.

What is Zentangle?

The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. Benefits including grounding, self-regulation, promoting relaxation, mindfulness, immersion in flow state, and the creation of beautiful images.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a complementary energy healing modality developed in Japan and practiced around the world. Reiki is a natural healing practice which utilizes life force energy, passed through the practitioner to the client, to promote energetic balance in clients mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Reiki is practiced either hands on with light touch or via distance with the practitioner as the conduit of the energy while the client sits or lays comfortably in a relaxed position. The client may feel sensations such as warmth or coolness, tingling, gentle movement, or nothing at all during a treatment and generally feels a deep state of relaxation. There is no pressure, massage, or manipulation. Benefits of Reiki may include deep state of peace and relaxation, clearing of energy blockages in the system, detoxifying the body, stimulating immune system, stimulating bone or tissue healing, supporting wellbeing, relieving pain.

What is ThetaHealing?

ThetaHealing® is a meditative technique that offers an opportunity for physical, psychological, and spiritual well-being using the Theta brain wave. With ThetaHealing® the client and practitioner utilize the Theta brain wave state to promote mental, physical, and emotional shifts that are in support of the client’s stated wellness goals. The theta state has been shown to lower stress and anxiety, lead to deep relaxation, enhance mental clarity and creativity, minimize ache, and increase euphoria. ThetaHealing® may be used to reveal creative potential, decrease fears and anxiety, promote emotional and physical health and wellbeing, end addictions and habits, deepen spiritual connection, manifest dreams and goals, increase confidence in creating desired reality.

What is Feng Shui?

Feng Shui is the art and science of a practice of arranging the pieces in the spaces in which we live and work in order to create balance with the natural world. The goal is to harness energy forces and establish harmony between an individual and their environment. A Feng Shui Consultation consists of analyzing unique information of the resident individual as well as unique information of the space, providing recommendations to neutralize energy that is in the environment that is less supportive and enhancing energy in the environment to best support the residents in all facets of life. Working with the feng shui of a home can promote improved personal relationships, health, prosperity, financial abundance, joy, etc., promoting the positive flow of energy in all aspects of life and one’s wellbeing.
